The Leading Practices in Internal Audit (LPIA) Awards are the UAE Internal Auditors Association's flagship recognition program. LPIA shines a light on internal audit functions that are raising the bar for governance, risk management and assurance across the country — turning everyday audit excellence into a national benchmark the whole profession can learn from.

Through this award the UAE Internal Auditors Association aims to encourage Internal Audit departments to improve and enhance their activities by learning from those who have been successful.

Who can participate
Any internal audit function operating in the UAE — across both the private and government sectors — may submit entries in one or more categories. Functions of any size are welcome; the awards are scored on the strength of the practice, not the size of the team.
How entries are judged
An independent jury of senior practitioners scores each submission against a published rubric covering innovation, impact, governance and evidence. Scoring is anonymized, criteria are transparent, and feedback is shared with every participant.
