SPEAKER:

Dr. Hassan NK Khayal is Chief Internal Auditor at the Mohamed Bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence. Dr. Hassan has over a decade of experience in internal audit. Dr. Hassan was also featured in the global “Internal Auditor Magazine” published by the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) as one of the top 15 under 30 global Emerging Leaders as an up-and-coming star of the internal audit profession. Dr. Hassan is also a regular guest author for the IIA blog and magazine. Dr. Hassan’s experience spans both the public and private sectors across the GCC. His duties included establishing and managing internal audit functions including creation of internal audit charters and manuals, conducting risk assessments, preparing risk based internal audit plans, performing and supervising the conduct of internal audit projects, executing management consulting projects, following up on the closure of internal audit observations, overseeing internal and external quality assurance programs, and reporting to the audit committee. Dr. Hassan is also a Committee Member in the IIA Global Guidance Council (GCC).
