Outline:
Ethics plays a very important role in our lives. Internal auditors are no different and they may sometimes be placed in precarious positions which can come back to haunt them later when they make those “ethical” decisions. This 2-hour session will discuss on the differences between morality and ethics and if there are any, which one is weighs more. The session will also delve on the requirements and expectations from the Standards with regards to ethics and what must internal auditors do, if they are faced with such dilemmas? Lastly, the discussions will also lead towards if internal audit departments have or are planning to conduct an ethics audit within their organizations and what are the risks and benefits in doing it.
