Course Introduction
The purpose of the seminar is to get the participants to learn/improve/refresh their skills in performing a Forensic and a Digital forensic audit; a full breakdown of a computer and internet fraud analysis including prevention controls.
The Forensic auditing (standard and digital) will assist the participants in understanding the needs and practices that are required for the appropriate organization and execution of a forensic audit engagement. At the same time a full breakdown of a Computer and Internet fraud will be fully analyzed and explained. The seminar will assist the delegates to understand the specificities of both engagements and assist them to sharpen and enhance their existing skills or even learn new techniques so that they can satisfy their “clients” expectations by performing a comprehensive review/inspection/audit/investigation; at the end of the project they will be able to deliver a professional and effective report with their findings and in doing so passing the message of the project clearly to its stakeholders.
Course Objectives:
Enrichment of knowledge: The scope for the seminar is to assist the participants to be able to understand the special needs of a forensic audit and to be able to recognize computer and internet frauds so that when the need arises, they can perform the audit(s) in accordance to the best practices and guidance of the IIA & ACFE respectively.
Updating of skills: During the seminar, full explanations with simple and practical examples will be presented; This will allow the participants to be in a position to understand the specificities of a forensic audit and the aspects of Computer and Internet fraud as well as prevention measures.
